Since 2007, Kepro has been serving the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) as the administrative service organization responsible for Maine’s mental health and substance use services. Kepro Maine reviews and approves services provided through MaineCare, as well as managing additional services to assist citizens of Maine in leading healthier lives.

Kepro Maine does not provide direct services like that of a mental health agency. You will work directly with your provider to determine the services or solutions you, your child or a loved one needs. The provider will then work with Kepro to receive an authorization. Kepro utilizes guidelines from the MaineCare rule, as well as, diagnosis, strengths, supports and the treatment plan to make a determination on the provider’s request.

Our goal is to promote each member’s recovery, flexibility, and ability to live in the community of his or her choice. Kepro strives to improve the quality of mental health and substance use services in Maine.

If you have any questions about what we do, please call Kepro Member Services at 866.521.0027, Option 1 or 855.810.9728 (TTY/TDD).
